Friday, Feb. 13, 2009

We invite you to the 11th Life and Physical Sciences Research Symposium, which provides opportunities for students and faculty members across scientific disciplines from North Carolina A&T State University and area academic and research institutions to present their research in oral and poster formats. The program encourages increased participation of underrepresented students in science, offering activities to enhance awareness of recent advances in science and research training opportunities for students at the university, community college and high school levels.

Our 2009 Symposium keynote speaker is Dr. Oliver Smithies, Nobel Laureate.  Dr. Smithies will also deliver a scientific presentation in the afternoon, followed by a special networking session with undergraduate and graduate Research Scholars.

Members from diverse sectors of the community, including academic, health, industrial, science, religious, federal and state government organizations are invited to dialogue with this prominent leader. The schedule of events also includes research poster presentations by faculty and students, and exhibits by graduate schools and health organizations.
